My name is Sam Tresco. I started building furniture as an apprentice at The Furniture Joint 10 years ago. While earning degrees in Design & Physics, I built furniture, designed products and worked as a commercial fisherman. After graduating, I took a risk and started my own custom furniture company.

Right now I am working to develop the future of hyper sustainable furniture. I’m using the using cutting edge digital fabrication tech to create limit quality furniture at scale. This furniture will last for centuries, is designed for east refinishing and maintenance and is completely recyclable.

Design philosophy

Today, planned obsolescence is the norm. Products often are designed to break and be bought again quickly. This culture of disposability is fundamentally unsustainable.

My furniture is designed to last 75 to 100 years, long enough for new trees to grow. I use materials and finishes that age gracefully, developing a patina and character with use.
